Notes & Reviews:

This recording was made when Charles Hogan was director of music at the Episcopal cathedral in Cincinnati and is representative of the choristers' varied repertoire.

American Record Guide, May/June 2013
This program of sacred choral works performed by the adult mixed choir of Christ Church Cathedral (Episcopal) in Cincinnati is weighted mainly towards American composers of the present day or recent past. Canadian Paul Halley might be included in this category. While the booklet gives biographies of director Charles Hogan and organist Nicholas Bideler, there is no detailed information on the choir itself. For this recording there are 24 singers (8- 5-5-6). One of the altos is a man. They produce a warm and well blended sound that is appropriate for the church repertory.
