Album Summary
Conductor Ensemble ComposerNotes & Reviews:
Beethoven's Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano in C major, Op. 56, more commonly known as the Triple Concerto, was composed in 1803, and is the only concerto Beethoven ever wrote for more than one solo instrument. In this fiery performance the Claremont Trio is joined by the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, led by the orchestra's British-born Music Director, Martin West. The E-flat major Trio is the first in a set of three Trios, first performed in 1793, in the house of their dedicatee, Prince Lichnowsky. Again featured, is the brilliant Claremont Trio.
