Recording information: Bremen, Germany (11/06/1964).

A powerful performer and one of the architects of the Chicago blues sound in the 1950s and 1960s, Howlin' Wolf cut an imposing and riveting figure on-stage. This set features him with an all-star blues band of sorts (Wolf on vocals, harmonica, and guitar; Hubert Sumlin on guitar; Sunnyland Slim on piano; Willie Dixon on bass; and Clifton James on drums), running through a live set in Bremen, Germany on November 6, 1964. ~ Steve Leggett
