Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, July/August 2013
In their poetry, prayers, art, and music, Neapolitans implore their patron San Gennaro for protection from natural disaster and catastrophe. The name of the release is the name of both a sumptuous chapel opened in 1646 in the Naples cathedral as well as of its strong musical contingent founded the same year. The programming and performances are very fine: full of spirit and energy.

BBC Music Magazine, April 2013
With playing as light and bubbly as a glass of prosecco, the quasi-ebullience of Domenico Scarlatti's motet and Sinfonias are threaded through a Baroque salutation to Naples' favourite Saint.

Classical Music, March 2013
Beautifully crafted Domenico Scarlatti sinfonias.

Gramophone Magazine, May 2013
Directed with verve and stylistic understanding by Antonio Florio, singers and players enliven all the music on this disc.

MusicWeb International, 17th April 2013
The instrumental performances are excellent...but I really believe that this disc could have been much better if the selection of voices had been more critical. Even so, there is much to enjoy here, and the music is such that everyone interested in this kind of repertoire should definitely investigate it.

The Independent, 12th January 2013
Accompanied by a small ensemble of strings, I Turchini weave wonderfully ornamented interplay of sopranos and countertenor over bass and tenors.
