Notes & Reviews:

Born in Poland in 1882, Bronislaw Humberman's recordings with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra are the most famous and valuable for violin recording history. He was a co-founder of the Palestine Symphony Orchestra, which held its premiere concert in 1936 conducted by Toscanini. These recordings come from 1928 and 1934.

American Record Guide, July/August 2013
These concerto recordings, once staples of the 78rpm catalogs, are here reissued from clean pressings in fine transfers. While the Polish Huberman (1882-1947) studied under Joachim in Berlin, he had all the virtuosic flair of the Russian school: he makes difficult things appear insouciantly easy, has a fine command of tone, tosses in some affectation, and always performs with infectious joy. Steinberg and Szell are just as effective as accompanists. The Tchaikovsky was recorded in 1928 and Lalo in 1934.
