The original version of Legende was created as three acts, each approximately 55 minutes long, with two intervals. The version produced by De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, recorded here, differs from the original in that substantial cuts have been made; however, Act 1 is almost complete, lacking only a short aria for Ursula and Pontus.
