Notes & Reviews:

This is a recording of choral works by Gerald Finzi and Gustav Holst performed by the 20-member girls' choir and the men's choir of Winchester Cathedral.

American Record Guide, May/June 2014
The program is well chosen for the sound of an English cathedral choir. Many of the English cathedrals have established girls' choirs in addition to their traditional corps of boy choristers. The performances here are very fine. Andrew Lumsden has been organist and director of music at Winchester Cathedral since 2002. Simon Bell was his assistant from 2008 to 2012. He now directs the Tewkesbury Abbey Schola Cantorum and is director of choral music at the Dean Close School in Cheltenham.
