Notes & Reviews:

The Concerts are brought to you by Jed Wentz's Musica Ad Rhenum, which has earned a dedicated following in early music circles. With an active concert life and an impressive catalogue of recordings, this group has sought to bring Baroque music to the modern world, proving that it is as inspiring and relevant today as it was in its own era.

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
Most people who read ARG are probably familiar with Francois Couperin's elegant, courtly music. He was one of a large musical family and lived from 1668 to 1733. He was chapel organist at the court of Louis XIV and later court organist and composer. Couperin and musicians gave a weekly concert, usually on Sunday. It was for these concerts that he composed many of his suites, like the ones played on this program. The Royal Concerts on the first disc have been recorded a number of times. If this appeals to you, then I strongly recommend the 7CD set from Brilliant that includes these very recordings. The quality is very high, and the price is well under $10 a CD, no matter where you buy.

BBC Music Magazine, December 2013
Headed by Jen Wentz's unfailingly appealing flute, a graceful fluency prevails here.
