Alexei Volodin is one of today's most outstanding Russian pianists. For his third recording on Challenge Classics, the artist focuses on beloved composer Sergei Rachmaninov. Volodin performs regularly with many prestigious orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Moscow Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic, and Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. In 2003 he won the First Prize at the ninth edition of the Concours Géza Anda in Zurich, which launched his international career.
