Notes & Reviews:

This release focuses on the Third and Fifth piano concertos - the former composed in 1800 and dedicated to Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia. The score was still in progress when the composer debuted the piece from memory.

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
The Eschenbach performances last appeared as part of a box set. Mr Auerbach was enthusiastic about the Emperor, praising its natural flow. It's certainly well played. In both works the 1970s audio is fine.
