Notes & Reviews:

Laude, or songs of praise, inspire this collection, the fourth appearance of the extraordinary all-male vocal ensemble Lionheart on eOne Music. Comprised of musical gems from 13th-14th century Italy, this collection of cappella melodies is drawn from Il Laudario di Cortona, which preserves poetic tests and music, as well as the Laudario of the Compagnia di Sant'Agnese, which in addition to music and text included masterful illuminations, such as the one on the cover of this recording. Recorded in splendid sound, this recording captures the beauty and mystery of medieval Italy.

Kansas City Star
Lionheart's accomplishments appear almost miraculous. Perfect blend, diction, tone production, phrasing and a host of dynamic subtleties characterize their singing. Lionheart embodies the best qualities of the early-music movement - they are consummate musicians who really love an audience.
