Notes & Reviews:

Toyohiko Satoh, one of the most important lute players of the last century, plays the largely unknown late works of French baroque composer and lutenist Robert De Visée, guitar teacher to the King Luis XIV. Satoh plays on an original lute made by Laurentius Greiff in 1610, which gives this recording a very distinct sound and atmosphere.

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
Toyohiko Satoh has been one of the world's greatest Baroque lutenists for decades. His playing is a delight - elegant, graceful, with a full and varied tone and a perfect grasp of style. As an added touch, he plays on a lute made in 1610 by Laurentius Greiff. It was converted to an 11-course French style lute in 1673, restored in 1994.
