Notes & Reviews:

Ullrich Boehme, organist at St. Thomas Leipzig, chose three works by Dupre, Franck and Gigout to present the church's reconstructed Sauer organ; subtly underlining the instrument's French characteristics. This is first recording produced at the Sauer organ after its restoration, and is splendidly resound in its original Romantic specification of 1908.

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
Böhme opens the program appropriately enough with one of Max Reger's last organ works, the Fantasia & Fugue in D minor, Opus 135b (1916). Reger's close professional association and personal friendship with Straube are well known. It is likely that Reger revised this work in response to Straube's suggestions. The St Thomas organ could well be claimed as its ideal vehicle. Böhme's performances are very fine. The organ is beautifully recorded, and this is a document of an important instrument. Böhme was appointed organist of St Thomas Church in 1985.
