Notes & Reviews:

Young flautist Katherine Bryan is rapidly establishing her place as one of Britain's bright musical stars. For her second recording on Linn, the in-demand concerto soloist performs a selection of 20th century concertos plus Debussy's Syrinx and Frank Martin's Ballade. Bryan has with leading orchestras worldwide and is principal flautist with the RSNO.

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
The best thing about having a recent recording like this one is in-tune playing from the woodwinds. Debussy's Syrinx, probably the most famous piece for unaccompanied flute, is included because Debussy's music and his treatment of the flute have inspired so many other composers.
