Notes & Reviews:
Oehms Classics is delighted to announce the future cooperation with Andres Orozco-Estrada and his Tonkunstler-Orchestra Niederosterreich. This recording of Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique, Op. 14 with the Tonkünstler Orchestra is the first CD being issued.
American Record Guide, January/February 2014
The sonics are mostly state-of-the-art, with a firm, solid bass, good but not ridiculous dynamic range that's suited to real-world listening, and a nice sense of spatial placement among the instruments. There is also no excessive stereo spotlighting. Oehms engineers show just how much life there can be in standard CD sound.
Recording information: Goldener Saal, Musikverein, Vienna, Austria (10/07/2012).
