Notes & Reviews:

We know the songs by Duparc, but the sonata for cello and piano is almost unknown. This disc does justice to the work with a superb interpretation by cellist Alain Meunier, supported by the beautiful Anne Le Bozec on piano. Among the melodies interpreted by Henry Didier include the first version of "Soupir," dated 1869, and the duo with Tomomi Mochizuki.
