Notes & Reviews:

A sumptuous blend of popular works and lesser-known gems, Salut d'Amour celebrates the beauty of two instruments: violin and piano. Kreisler, Gershwin, and Monti are played here with flair and exuberance; by contrast Massenet, Faure, Manuel Ponce, and Sibelius are honest and moving. The touching beauty of Annabel Thwaite's piano playing comes to the fore in solo works by Chopin and Schubert. Uniquely, this disc fuses the familiar with rarely performed masterpieces by Reynaldo Hahn and John Ireland, and two premiere recordings: Caspi's "La Trenza" and a simple, sublime arrangement of Welsh lullaby "Suo Gan," well known (if not by its title) from the film Empire of the Sun.

Gramophone
Hauntingly lovely...thoughtful and accomplished music-making.

International Record Review
Outstanding...magnificent performance throughout.
