Notes & Reviews:

This is Ukraine-born Alexei Grynyuk's first solo recording of the music of Franz Liszt, a composer that has been in Grynyuk's repertoire since he first started winning piano competitions at six years old. Grynyuk is a first prize-winner at the Vladimir Horowitz International Piano Competition and the Shanghai International Piano Competition.

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
His impressive technical abilities and superb musicianship are only on a par with the best of his peers. The massive Liszt Sonata, recorded in the mellow acoustics of Henry Wood hall, has all of the thrills associated with that work. It comes across as gentler and more reflective than usual, and sparkling and bubbly in the rapid passagework - all accomplished without pushing his tone when playing at rapid-fire speed. Definitely worth a standing ovation. The balance of the program keeps safely in the Liszt mainstream. Grynyuk is a natural Liszt pianist and strikes just the right balance between rhetoric and reflection.
