Notes & Reviews:

This recording shows Handel's orchestral masterpiece in a fresh performance with the Lodz Chamber Orchestra. Water Music, a collection of orchestral movements, was first played for King George I by fifty musicians on a barge in the Thames River. King George enjoyed the piece so much that he had the musicians play it three times over the course of the outing.
