Notes & Reviews:

In this new release celebrating the "Verdi Year 2013," soprano and bel canto specialist Lucia Aliberti sings soprano arias from a period that Verdi referred to as his "galley years." The Sicilian soprano was awarded a diploma with special recognition from the Conservatory in Messina while she was still very young. She studied with Luigi Ricci in Rome, with Herbert von Karajan, and with Alfredo Kraus.
