Notes & Reviews:

The Compline Choir at Saint Mark's Cathedral in Seattle has received worldwide notoriety for the re-popularization of the late-night monastic service of Compline. The service mixes chant with polyphonic hymns and in this case, original settings of the psalms by Peter Hallock. Most of the music on this CD has not previously been recorded.

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
The Compline choir is made up exclusively of men's voices: basses, tenors and countertenor altos. Since Hallock's retirement in 2009, Jason Anderson has been its director. The voices, while they are obviously skilled and experienced, are pleasantly smooth and sweet. Gothic sees to excellent sound and an interesting booklet.
