Notes & Reviews:

This recording of Gregorian chant, taken from the earliest age of plainsong, is quite unique. The earliest handwritten manuscripts have been used in an attempt to reconstruct the Gregorian Chant melodies. The Monks of the Benedictine Abbey of St Joseph of Gerleve have produced a wonderful and inspired recording of these chants.

American Record Guide, January/February 2014
This is a resonant recording of a wellrehearsed monastic choir from the Abbey of Gerleve following the basic Solesmes style of chant performance. Included are the mass propers for Epiphany, Dedication of a Church, and a selection associated with mass in ordinary time. The booklet notes by Meier supply an overview of chant.
