Notes & Reviews:
The resident string quartet at the University of Memphis, named the Ceruti String Quartet after the influential Italian violin maker, performs two of the most famous works in the quartet repertoire. Founded in 1994, performances of the Ceruti String Quartet have been described as spirited, richly colorful and intimately poetic.
American Record Guide, November/December 2013
The Ceruti Quartet plays with great sensitivity, lovely balances, and a good deal of rubato, easing up the often insistent tempos with a sense of making every move the composers make count emotionally. There is plenty of power and passion here as well. The recorded sound is clear and effective. This program is worth a listen.
