Notes & Reviews:

The work of Capella Alamire is highly specialized. Apart from a few contemporary works the group has taken on, Capella Alamire primarily sings Franco-Flemish music of the 15th and 16th centuries. These are as close as one can get to authentic performances of these great works.

American Record Guide, January/February 2014
As noted by Urquhart in his informative annotations, knowledge about the music of Pierrequin de Therache (c.1470-1528) suffered both from his position in the ducal court of Lorraine in the city of Nancy. What Urquhart and the nine singers of Capella Alamire (three women and six men) supply on this new release is a worthy overview that will go far to demonstrate that Therache's music deserves a place in any collection of renaissance polyphony along with his more famous contemporaries. The singers are well balanced in the mass and two motets ('Gaude Maria' and 'Verbum bonum'), and the imitative and canonic intricacies of the music are clearly delineated.
