Notes & Reviews:

Pianist Gwendolyn Mok plays two pianos used by Brahms. The first, an 1868 Erard Grand Piano, is used for the music on the first disc, while the 1871 Streicher Grand Piano is used for the performances on disc 2. Ms. Mok concludes the disc by performing two intermezzi, one in a minor and one in c major on each of the pianos to offer the listener a comparison.

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
The sound is excellent. This enjoyable resource is much recommended, illuminating both Brahms's late works and the beauty of these period instruments.
