Performers Composer

Notes & Reviews:

The six sonatas for solo violin are the composer's final message. It is brilliant and definitive as he manages to bring together all the violin's art and history since Bach and the Italian masters.

American Record Guide, January/February 2014
Marianne Piketty also has the full measure of these works as far as technique. I find Barati very satisfying. I also prefer Brilliant's extremely clear sound. Maguelone has recorded Piketty in a more resonant room.
