Notes & Reviews:
The Italian Gambe di legno has evolved into one of the leading ensembles of its kind in recent years. Originally founded as a consort of viols, the ensemble has grown to include an ensemble of vocalists, instrumentalists and choir.
American Record Guide, January/February 2014
A warm, intense performance of Dowland's famous Lachrimae. Most readers are probably familiar with this work: it consists of seven variations, published in 1604, on Dowland's earlier theme, the 'Lachrimae Pavan'. This is a wonderful offering to supplement existing recordings, which are fairly plentiful. You will notice that the sound is very full.
