Notes & Reviews:

This recording presents new music composed for, and commissioned by, the U.S. Air Force Band that is immediately accessible, joyful as well as powerful, and most of all, lasting. Col Lowell Graham's Grammy-winning recordings have been recognized in Stereophile's "Records To Die For" list and Absolute Sound's "The Super Disc List."

American Record Guide, January/February 2014
This 1996 program by the US Air Force Band begins with Jack Stamp's popular and bold 'Fanfare for a New Era', composed for the band in honor of Lowell Graham's appointment as conductor in 1995. The program ends with James Barnes's Symphony 3, composed in response to the death of his young daughter. A gloomy I (Lento) leads to a bitter II (Scherzo), then to a mournful III (Mesto). The work ends with a lively Finale that suggests Barnes has found peace.
