Notes & Reviews:
American Record Guide, September/October 2013
Kremer's tone is much fuller and more pleasant in Thorofon 2597, which offers newer works that are attractive and tuneful. Eric Ewazen's Trumpet Concerto, an arrangement of his Quintet for Trumpet and Strings (1990), is warm and rhythmic in the outer movements, melancholy in the middle one. Fine collaborations by this chamber orchestra.
