Notes & Reviews:

Pianist Edward Rosser pursues an active and varied career as soloist, chamber musician and teacher. He studied at Boston University with Anthony di Bonaventura, from whom he learned the Vengerova technique of piano playing. His debut recording on Connoisseur, was named one of the best recordings of 2010 by MusicWeb International.

American Record Guide, July/August 2013
Rosser's approach to Schubert's sonata is intensely lyrical. His soft playing leans toward the impressionist. As a deeply felt reflective performance, it is in a class of its own. Connoisseur's rich and deeply resonant sound is well suited to his interpretation. For Rosser, it's more Schubert. The six Moments Musicaux continue in the same refined, heartfelt style as the sonata. Expression always kept to the forefront. The Hungarian Melody is a delightful addition, and it is played with subtlety. It should be noted that Rosser is a follower of the Vengerova technique of piano playing - named for Isabelle Vengerova, who advocated achieving expressive playing and beautiful tone by keeping the fingers close to the keys for evenness and seamless legato.
