Notes & Reviews:

With nearly 2,000 concerts and 200 film and TV scores, Charles Denler's EmmyR-winning music can be heard all over the world. His ability to work in a wide variety of genres has made him a top choice among producers and directors. Charles' classical training and strong proficiency with contemporary sound allow great flexibility and versatility as a composer and pianist. "Portraits of Colorado, An American Symphony No. 1" is the first in a series of symphonies composed by Denler. Inspired by a sunrise over the Rocky Mountains, and the incredible works of American painter Jerry Malzahn, this first symphony carries with it a theme of hope and new beginnings.

American Record Guide, January/February 2014
This 29-minute work is a theme followed by nine variations. They're an astounding bag of cliches and all sound pretty much alike. Six Variations for violin and piano, using the same basic tune and simple-minded harmonies from the symphony. O'Neil is in his third year as the orchestra's resident conductor.
