Notes & Reviews:

J.S. Bach is one of the most brilliant composers in history. The works on this CD highlight the range of works Bach performed over the course of his life, from the early Toccata in E minor to a movement from the Musical Offering published in 1747, just three years before his death.

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
Knox has put together a Bach program that has something for everyone to enjoy: the fantastic (Toccata in in E minor, S 914) the bombastic (Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue, Fantasy in C minor) the austere (3-part ricercar from A Musical Offering) and the graceful (French Overture). The potpourri nature of this program is one of its strengths. I never tire of them. They are like old friends. I especially enjoy hearing performers' new musical discoveries about the pieces; Bach's music inevitably inspires such.
