Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, March/April 2014
Ragon is the primary singer here. He has a bright voice that he uses with lean, skillfully employing a full range of dynamics. One of the best and most interesting songs is 'Elegie' written around 1828 in the wake of the composer's delirious love for Irish actress Harriet Smithson, a free rhapsody with virtuosic accompaniment that shows his adventurous use of chromaticism.
