Notes & Reviews:
A classic performance of Idomeneo from 1956 Glyndebourne, conducted by Sir John Pritchard, featuring an excellent cast, with briliant Sena Jurinac and formidable Leopold Simoneau.
BBC Music Magazine, January 2014
Very strong singing from Jurinac, Simoneau and Lewis, but it's routinely conducted by Pritchard. There are many cuts - which may count in its favour.
