Notes & Reviews:

Manuel Tomadin follows up his first album for Brilliant Classics of Weimar-composed chorales by Bach (BC 94456), with some little-known musical treasures from Hamburg c.1700 complemented by a bonafide Bach rarity, a chorale fantasia believed to date from between 1705 and 1710. Tomadin has made a specialty of this musical period and repertoire. He was Young ECHO Organist of the Year 2012, having won the ninth Internationaal Schnitger Orgelconcours during the Orgelfestival Holland in June 2011 in Alkmaar.

American Record Guide, March/April 2014
Organist Manuel Tomadin is a specialist in Renaissance and baroque keyboard music. In addition to recitals and recordings, he is active as a teacher, including special courses in historic performance practice and instruments. His performances here are solid and stylish, without annoying eccentricities. The organ was completed in 2010 by the builders Dell'Orto & Lanzini for the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in Pinerolo, Italy. Its tonal design is based on the organs of Arp Schnitger. The instrument's tone convincingly combines brilliance with gravity for an instrument so well suited to the repertory on the present recording that it is hard to imagine it playing music of any other style.
