Notes & Reviews:

This release contains Paganini's most famous works, the Caprices.

American Record Guide, September/October 2013
Maria Solozobova is a young Russian violinist who appears to be based in Switzerland. The Concerto and two Caprices were recorded in concert in Cape Town, South Africa; and the Variations were recorded in a studio in Switzerland. They play well for the rest of the concerto. The moment she makes her entrance, Solozobova shows that she has what I wish more professional musicians had - boundless enthusiasm. She certainly knows how to dazzle, and I'm sure she's not faking it. This is one of the more enjoyable readings of this score that I have heard.
