Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, March/April 2014
This begins in such a promising manner. In the Rachmaninoff both Wang and Dudamel have a firm grasp of form; they observe all of the subtle marked tempo changes, while managing to weave the opening movement together with a natural flow. Wang articulates her river of 16th notes clearly. Dudamel brings out all of the string and woodwind lines that usually pass unnoticed. Here everything functions fully. In II the orchestra textures remain clear.

Gramophone Magazine, February 2014
Making her virtuoso credentials clear throughout, Wang dismisses every difficulty with nonchalant ease...this is a talent with a vengeance, the youthful partnership with Dudamel is ideal and both performances, recorded in Caracas, are understandably greeted with storms of applause.

MusicWeb International, 5th March 2014
It's a virtue rather than a shortcoming that Wang and Dudamel never push the music too hard or too fast...Where oomph is required, all concerned on DG can and do apply it.
