Swiss oboist Thomas Indermühle performs a program of French compositions for oboe and piano. He is on the faculty of the Zürich Conservatory and the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe.

American Record Guide, January/February 2014
The Vocalise Etude 151 by Olivier Messiaen is added as a filler. These sonatas are major works by three of the foremost French composers active early in the 20th Century. The playing is refined and absolutely solid; the sound is superb. Thomas Indermuhle was born and grew up in Switzerland but now lives and teaches in Germany. Eriko Takezawa was born in Hiroshima and moved to Germany in 1984. She divides her time between Germany and Switzerland. The interpretation of the Saint-Saens is very straightforward. Overall, these performances are worth listening to again and again.
