Notes & Reviews:

This volume concludes Tianwa Yang's internationally acclaimed series of recordings of Pablo de Sarasate's works for violin and orchestra. This stunning program includes the popular Introduction et Tarantelle and two delightful jotas. Sarasate's scintillating flying staccato technique is heard in the Fantaisie on Weber's Der Freischutz, while Le Reve is a remarkable work in every way. 'Yang is splendidly equipped as a Sarasate violinist, with her clear tone, pure intonation, impressive dexterity and light touch ...startlingly beautiful' (Gramophone on Volume 3, 8.572275).

MusicWeb International, 6th February 2014
I challenge anyone to pick holes in the performances on offer here by Tianwa Yang. I simply can't imagine this tuneful, technically demanding music being played any better than this. Full marks and a fitting finale to a great series.

American Record Guide, March/April 2014
This is the final volume of Yang's four-disc set of music for violin and orchestra by Pablo de Sarasate. I love the way Yang plays Sarasate, and I love the way these pieces sound with orchestra. For the fantasies on opera arias, Sarasate kept much of the original orchestrations for the accompaniments. The program opens with the Introduction and Tarantelle, a piece I hear often, but rarely with orchestra. His Fantasy on Mozart's Don Giovanni is particularly enjoyable, because it is kind of a two-for-one. In the course of these four volumes of music for violin and orchestra (as well as her recordings of his music for violin and piano) Yang has convinced me that Sarasate was a brilliant composer and not simply a showman. Her playing here and the playing of the orchestra is just as great as it is on the other three volumes.
