Notes & Reviews:

Conductor/pianist Richard Bonynge's love affair with William Vincent Wallace began when he recorded the beautiful opera Lurline, which led him to explore Wallace's song repertoire. The songs on this disc are all first recordings. Soprano Sally Silver has triumphed in several operatic roles, her latest including Mark-Anthony Turnage's Greek, to be performed at Covent Garden, and Thomas Ades' Powder Her Face.

Notes & Reviews:

Recording information: Potton Hall, Suffolk (03/24/2011-03/26/2011).
