Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, March/April 2014
Dearest Enemy, first performed in 1925, was the first hit musical comedy produced by Rodgers and Hart. The story is based on a once-popular myth. Kim Cresswell, the biggest name in the cast. The best music goes to Betsy and Sir John Copeland, and it's personably sung by Annaleene Beechey, a sweet, light soprano, and the mellow James Cleverton. It's enjoyable and instructive to stop at this particular milestone along the road to modern American musical theater.
