Notes & Reviews:
American Record Guide, November/December 2014
The only way to make an album of 22 of the most popular Christmas carols stand out is with superb performances of the cleverest arrangements. Harmonic progressions are beyond simple-minded, the kind I expect from a couple of 13-year-old kids trying out at a public market. And the endless stream of arpeggiated grace note flourishes are perfect for Nordstrom's notions department or a pretentious hotel lobby. This album is listed as Volume 1. Spare me!
Personnel: Emily Mitchell (harp).
