Notes & Reviews:

It is the music of the 20th century that has helped us to understand the dark energy of the viola in new ways; in particular the final decades of the Soviet Union produced works of moving expressiveness. The violist Tatjana Masurenko is rooted in the St Petersburg string tradition, which derives from the violinist Leopold von Auer, who above all strove to restore awareness of the profundity of scores and their contexts.

American Record Guide, March/April 2014
This is a very stylish recital by a very accomplished violist. From the beginning I was impressed by Tatjana Masurenko's elastic dynamics and ability to find the proper flow of a phrase in the Prokofieff. Masurenko performs with supreme confidence and never makes an interpretive misstep. She is certainly one of the best violists before the public today.
