Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, July/August 2014
Keen's 'Homeward Bound' is often overlooked and the Althouse arrangement is lovely. The Copland arrangements are particularly interesting for the inclusion of flute obligato in all three, thoughtfully played by Jennifer Yeaton-Parris. The Fletcher arrangements of 'Oh, Dear, What Can the Matter Be' and 'Ezekiel Saw th' Wheel' are quirky and enjoyable. Yeaton-Parris plays the opening flute solo in the 'Ashokan Farewell' with clarity and sensitivity. Calvin Herst's playing is stable and warm.

Homeward Bound, The Larksong Trio's premiere recording for Big Round Records, is a heart-warming collection of art songs, love songs, and American and Celtic folk songs.
