Notes & Reviews:

This recording combines three of the lesser-known aspects of Puccini: it presents his rather rare chamber music along with his decidedly better known opera Gianni Schicchi.

American Record Guide, July/August 2014
Gianni Schicchi is a 2004 performance from the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. The only notable name is Roberto Servile, who is an admirable Schicchi. Crisantemi, recorded in 2011, is subtitled an 'Elegy for Strings' and was composed early in the composer's career (1890). It is a melodic short piece for string quartet that is well performed by the La Scala Quartet. The sound for Crisantemi and the piano pieces is very good.
