Notes & Reviews:

For over 30 years as a composer and improviser, Uli J. Kieckbusch has occupied himself not only with jazz and new music, but with old folksongs. Although the songs about the moon are hidden fragmentary on Biaumond, on this new CD recording Abend wird es wieder (Evening Moods), they are first introduced in their entirety before the improvisation begins.

American Record Guide, May/June 2014
Mr Kieckbusch counts himself both a composer and improviser, active in both classical music and jazz. His website reports that he's worked with Cecil Taylor and Evan Parker and is also known as an interpreter of Cage and Feldman. All in all, it's a curious release, but a very appealing one.
