Notes & Reviews:

  • C.P.E. Bach's three concerti for cello reflect the pre-classical traits of its time; a new found passion, less linearity and sudden, abrupt changes of key.
  • Acclaimed Brazilian cellist Antonio Meneses has led a busy international concertizing career and recorded much of the great cello literature.
  • Booklet notes in English, French and German.

American Record Guide, May/June 2014
There have been several excellent recordings of these lively and imaginative works. This is still the liveliest of the bunch. The sound is fine. It has a lot of character and is perhaps the most exciting.
