American Record Guide, May/June 2014
Soprano Soledad De La Rosa sings in all eight cantatas here, and she is joined by Nora Tabbush for two: Dialogo fra Rosinda and Olindo and the Spanish-style E Sara Che La Mia Fede, where strummed strings, brash harpsichord, rapid rhythms, and rippling momentum supply a fitting finale to this very fine program. The instrumental group is five violas da gamba with a continuo of archlute, double harp, harpsichord, organ, and lirone. The wistful and melancholy character of a viol consort gives the performances a most attractive and versatile beauty. Marazzoli was clearly a highly-skilled composer.
