Notes & Reviews:

Following an acclaimed first release exploring the wealth of vocal and instrumental music presented at the artistic gatherings of 18th-century Rome's Arcadian Academy, harpsichordist extraordinaire Julian Perkins and his period-instrument ensemble follow with a scintillating concept album.

American Record Guide, July/August 2014
I have a clearer idea of what Perkins and his colleagues are about. They are exploring the kind of literature, and composer interactions, worked up for the Arcadian groups of Rome in the first decade of the 18th Century, under the patronage of such Cardinals as Ottoboni and Pamfili. The instrumental playing is exemplary. Of the two singers, Dennis reveals a really lovely soprano voice and high spirits.

Sunday Times, 16th March 2014
Singularly characterful works, they are delivered with stylish aplomb by the soprano Anna Dennis and the countertenor Andrew Radley.
