American Record Guide, May/June 2014
Lenka Torgersen is a very fine Czech violinist who plays this lively and expressive music on a violin made by Sebastian Klotz around 1760. She is joined by like-minded musicians who are all clearly speaking their musical mother tongue. This is an excellent recording. The playing is thoughtful but not fussy, and it comes from that wonderful period between what we think of as the Baroque and the classical. It sounds fresh and inventive.
